Wedding Eve
On the night before the wedding, Nick (Jake Johnson) and Winston (Lamorne Morris) help Schmidt (Max Greenfield) re-write his vows. Later, Jess (Zooey Deschanel) rallies the gang to play a booze-heavy round of True American when she thinks Sam (David Walton) is going to propose to her.

Schmidt (Max Greenfield) flies to Portland, Oregon in a final attempt to convince Ceces mom (recurring guest star Anna George) to attend the wedding, but complications put him at risk for missing the big day. Back in L.A., Nick (Jake Johnson) and Jess (Zooey Deschanel) try to stall for time.

Full Circle
When Stewart (Fred Savage) gets sidelined, Dean (Rob Lowe) and the rest of the Sanderson & Yao team are left to lead Dean Sr.s (William Devane) malpractice trial. Although Dean has proven himself in the past, Stewart worries that his instincts and Grinder-isms wont be enough to win.

Find My Hecks
With Axl (Charlie McDermott) and Sue (Eden Sher) home for summer vacation, Frankie (Patricia Heaton) attempts to set a curfew for them. Later, Brick (Atticus Shaffer) investigates who he's up against for valedictorian.

Crazy Train
Manny (Rico Rodriguez) convinces the family to take a train to Dede's (recurring guest star Shelley Long) wedding. On board, Phil (Ty Burrell) and Cam (Eric Stonestreet) geek out over their favourite author, who is also on the train, while Claire (Julie Bowen) and Mitchell (Jesse Tyler Ferguson) work on their toast for the reception.
