Rtv Works with Ro Video for Control Room Upgrade

March 7th, 2016 [Ottawa, Ontario, Canada] - Bengal Media Corporation Ltd. (Rtv), one of Bangladesh's leading private satellite TV channels, was a standard definition channel ready to upgrade to high definition. Looking for a cost-effective way to integrate with 3rd party solutions as well as easy upgradability, Rtv chose Ross Video's XPression Real-Time Motion Graphics System and MC1 Master Control for phase one of their upgrade.

Being a standard definition channel, Rtv faced the challenge of upgrading to high definition when most of their equipment was in operation 24/7. To ensure few disruptions, Rtv decided to upgrade in phases the first phase being graphics and master control.

We zeroed down on Ross Video's XPression and MC1, and the integration was so smooth that we began using it after day one of training, said Mr. Swapan Kumar Dhar, Deputy General Manager of Broadcast Operation & Engineering Department at Rtv. We use XPression and MC1 for our channel branding, logo generation, to run multilingual scroll and ticker and for the final master control out and online graphic system.

We are thrilled we could offer Rtv the solution they required to transition from SD to HD. The ease of use on both our XPression and MC1 products was pivotal for that to happen, said Dae Yung Choe, Vice President of Sales and Asia for Ross Video. With our team, we have successfully managed to change the look and feel of our channel, and the way we used to run our Master Control Room, continued Mr. Swapan Kumar Dhar. With Ross Video and our local partner, NetWork we have had great support pre and post sales. As well, since installation we have been able to run our channel smoothly and with minimal manpower.
