Countryside tours brisk in Ninghai

During the May Day holiday, the scenic areas of Ninghai County received visits from tourists from all over the country. Within the three days, the county received 397,000 visits, up by 18.1% over the same period of last year. Among others, the visits from countryside tours reached 236,000, up by 26.3%.

Even before the holiday, the "slow life in the countryside" propaganda video has been popular in Wechat. The family experience activity launched by Huchen Township attracted a lot of family visitors. With the guidance of parents, the children can dig out the yam with small tools and they can also take part in such activities as making ricecakes and picking tea leaves. Many parents regard this as a meaningful way of spending the "Labor Day" holiday for their children. Statistics show that during the holiday, Huchen Township received 24,000 visits, resulting in a total farm produce turnover of over four million yuan. The Wanggan Mountain area launched such activities as camping, sunrise viewing and photography, attracting a lot of outdoor sports fans. In some popular scenic areas, such as the Qiantong Ancient Town and Wushan Caves, the visits rose by over 27% over the same period of last year.

The blooming flowers are another hotspot of the holiday. At the Happy Field Farm, the cosmos, marigolds and violets are all in full bloom. Together with some featured farm activities, the farm attracted about 15,000 visitors. The stretches of verbena in Chayuan Township and the Chinese herbaceous peony in the Stone Village attracted a lot of visitors for taking photos. Besides the flowers, the fruit picking is another featured activity. During the holiday, the catering industry in the county achieved a total revenue of over 19 million yuan.
