High-performance points of presence power video streaming delivery to large audiences across Latin America with guaranteed quality of experience

Broadpeak , a leader in streaming and monetization at scale, is expanding its Content Delivery Network as a Service (CDNaaS) with seven new HyperPoPs deployed across Brazil. The deployment increases the performance and streaming capacity of Broadpeak's Adaptive Streaming CDN (ASCDN) in Latin America, enabling content providers and broadcasters to deliver premium-quality video streaming experiences during high- audience events.

Broadpeak's CDNaaS, available on the company's API platform broadpeak.io, provides a simple way for content providers to stream video to large audiences without the complexity and investment required to build and operate a proprietary content delivery network. Purpose-built for video, the service leverages strategically deployed HyperPoPs in partnership with local internet service providers to ensure optimal streaming performance, reliability and scalability during peak events. Each HyperPoP provides over 1 Tbps of capacity, significantly greater than the typical capacity of traditional public CDN caches. This means that content providers can handle large traffic spikes around premium live sports or major series launches, while maintaining exceptional quality of experience (QoE).

Built on Broadpeak's EdgePeak software, the new HyperPoPs combine high-performance video delivery with intelligent, real-time security to help combat live streaming piracy and protect valuable content. Customers utilizing Broadpeak's ASCDN also benefit from integrated capabilities including dynamic ad insertion, player analytics, multi-CDN strategies and multicast ABR, giving content providers a comprehensive toolkit to unlock performance advertising and optimize efficiency as audiences scale. For demanding events such as premium live sports, operators can also leverage Broadpeak's NOC (Network Operations Center) services for dedicated preparation and video expertise resources, from capacity planning and event supervision to post-event auditing.

The seven new HyperPoPs are deployed by YouCast, across strategically selected ISP networks in Brazil, expanding local edge distribution capacity across the country and driving down latency by bringing content closer to end users.

Built on a national scale with regional diversity, the expansion enables Brazilian broadcasters and content providers to protect QoE during challenging, high-audience streaming events. By delivering content, at the edge of the network, this latest CDNaaS model ensures high-value video is delivered in the best possible conditions. The architecture also reduces global infrastructure duplication and energy requirements, helping lower the costs and carbon footprint associated with large-scale streaming.
