Using Akamai NetStorage As Video Destination

We've recently released the ability to use Akamai NetStorage as the destination for your encoded video. This is in addition to our existing delivery destinations; FTP, Amazon S3, Rackspace CloudFiles, Microsoft Azure, and Aspera. The primary benefit of using Akamai NetStorage is for customers already using Akamai as their CDN. Akamai NetStorage speeds up the global distribution of your content by first uploading to two global network distribution points. From there they are rapidly distributed to a network of global endpoints in preparation for delivery to the end-user.

Configuring Akamai NetStorage as your destination is easy and can be done through our API and our User Interface. First, you need to make sure that your Akamai NetStorage account is correctly setup.

This feature can also be automated via our API. First, you'll need to generate your API authentication signature. For this you'll need your key, key-name, and connection hostname.

The basic destination path looks like this:
