Jordan Media City entrusts mission-critical playout automation to Pebble Beach Systems 08 March 2016

Leading playout automation and channel in a box specialist Pebble Beach Systems today announced that Jordan Media City (JMC) has selected a Marina automation solution for installation at its Amman headquarters. JMC was an early adopter of Pebble's automation solutions, deploying a Neptune' automation system around 13 years ago which has expanded as the operation has grown. The decision to implement a 6 channel Marina system represents the next step in the company's success, and forms part of the migration of all of JMC's channels to HD. Further expansion of the channel count is planned over the coming years.

The system to be deployed is a 6 channel HD fully redundant playout system with automatic media management from a near line store and a DIVA archive, all of which is managed by the Marina enterprise level automation and content management application using a single database. It is due to go live this Spring, complementing the Pebble Neptune platform which was installed in 2003.
