VR Playhouse and Jaunt Immerse Viewers in Traditional Mexican Music and Dance for Cinco de Mayo

Jaunt Studios and VR Playhouse team up to celebrate Mexican heritage in a dazzling visual display of music and dance in the new virtual reality experience La Fuerza Imprevista. Released in celebration of Cinco de Mayo, the vibrant cultural experience is available for viewing exclusively on the Jaunt VR app.

The experience features Latin Grammy-nominated all-female mariachi band Flor de Toloache, elegant ballet folklorico dancers from Leyenda Dance Company and beatboxer, Musical Mammal. The result is a modern interpretation of traditional Mexican art that provides viewers with an immersive viewing experience of a lively cultural performance.

To produce this immersive VR experience, Jaunt Studios and VR Playhouse filmed in former cathedral-turned-event space Vibiana for its powerful acoustics and expansive, ornate setting that lends itself to a memorable visual experience. As the mariachi band and dancers swirl in from all directions, beatboxer Musical Mammal creates an interlude between the songs, effectively merging tradition with modernity.

The VR piece allows the viewers to explore the performances surrounding the space at their leisure, allowing for the creation of a more personalized and immersive experience.
