Eurecat develops a technology that simplifies post-production special effects The AutoPost technology developed by the Technology Centre of Catalonia can separate objects from their background simply and automate processes that previously required a lot of manual labor.
The Technology Centre of Catalonia, Eurecat (Member Tecnio) has developed a technology audiovisual postproduction that simplifies the generation of special effects, through flexible technology that allows separate objects from their background simply and detailed and automate processes that previously required a lot of manual work .
The technology has been integrated into the product AutoPost Plugin Suite, which consists of a series of plugins that can be easily integrated with existing production platforms to make them more efficient. AutoPost Plugin Suite features a visual user interface to easily complement existing production processes in the market and thus improve the efficiency and flexibility of small and medium producers.
This technology has applications in the field of visual effects in areas such as extension and replacement funds scenes, composition and extraction of objects in arbitrary funds and the selection of objects for setting the color and finish.
A diferencia de las soluciones actuales, la tecnolog a de AutoPost desarrollada por Eurecat permite separar objetos de su fondo en im genes que no se hayan tomado sobre un croma de color verde, requisito indispensable en la mayor a de soluciones actuales , remarca M nica Caballero, coordinadora del proyecto. AutoPost designers Plugin Suite have also provided an innovative tool functionality that will improve the result with direct feedback from users during editing. "The software interactively improve the result when the user touches the wrong area of the drawing, which will make it even more effective in the long run," explains the researcher.
The AutoPost project, led by Eurecat, has worked with other European centers of research and companies to develop the new product. The consortium have formed the technological center alem nFraunhofer HHI, the Germans also Imcumbe and Moto Labs and Digital Graphics Belgian audiovisual company.
