Sky launches Sky Box Sets in Italy

Sky in Italy has launched Sky Box Sets following the success of the service in the UK, Ireland, Germany and Austria. Customers in Italy can now access an unrivalled catalogue of titles in terms of quality and variety. At launch, Sky Box Sets will feature 50 of the most popular TV series of all time including House of Cards, Scandal, The Walking Dead, The Sopranos and Californication as well as Sky's own successful original productions including Gomorrah and Romanzo Criminale.

The service will allow customers initial access to 120 whole seasons of hit series across multiple genres with 1,500 episodes to enjoy whenever and wherever they want, either at home or on the move with Sky Go, Europe's biggest mobile TV service. More seasons will be added every month which is possible because of the strength of Sky's relationships with major global content creators including exclusive, pan-European deals with HBO and Showtime.

Sky Box Sets will add to an already popular on demand offering in Italy. Since Sky On Demand launched in Italy in July 2015 over 2 million users have downloaded nearly half a billion titles. It's now the most successful on demand service in the country.

The addition of new on demand and catch up services is a key part of Sky's investment in its pan-European connected home strategy. With over 10 million homes already connected across all its territories, Sky is Europe's biggest connected TV platform.
