Panasonic and NewTek have announced NewTek AutoLink , a new software application which detects and automatically connects to network based PTZ cameras

The presence of IP cameras is automatically detected from NewTek TriCaster and the IP Series Video Mix Engine. Cameras become immediately available for use in networked video production workflows without any additional configuration, saving valuable bandwidth and system resources.

NewTek AutoLink is PC based conversion software that allows camera control, NDI and streaming and is compatible with Panasonic PTZ cameras (AW-HE130, AW-HE40 and AW-UE70), as well as the company's studio camera systems and 4K box camera (AK-UB300).

There is no restriction on the number of IP cameras that can be connected, ready to take live into production. Video translation and transmission is only initiated when the camera source is selected.

Panasonic and Newtek's mutual customers have asked us for quicker set up and easier integration as live studio customers have become increasingly diverse. Simple IP connectivity is the answer, said Guilhem Krier, Head of Product Marketing & Business Development at Panasonic.
