Afrotainment founder Mthokozisi DJ Tira has sworn to bring back Mampintsha's wife Bongekile Babes Wodumo Simelane to her glory days.

Speaking at the Ngeke hitmaker's memorial on Thursday 29 December, Tira said, Our sister Babes Wodumo needs to go back to the top and go back to charging 100 000 per gig .

BABES WODUMO TO GO BACK TO THE TOP DJ Tira said that since Mampintsha left behind his son Sponge Wodumo who needs to be fed and taken care of, they as the remaining family and friends, they need to make sure that they work hard so that the people he loves can succeed.

Before Babes Wodumo fell off, she was releasing hit songs and going on international trips that put her on the global map but as soon as she started missing flights, things started downhill for her.

To mark her return, Babes took to the stage on New Years Eve to celebrate her late husband's song taking the Ukhozi FM's Song Of The Year title in 2022.

The gqom queen Babes Wodumo took to the stage a day after burying her husband Mampintsha and performed Ngeke at the last dance.

ZAtunes reports that Ngeke beat Skweletu's Inja Endlini hit single to clinch Ukhozi FM's Song of The Year. The publication adds that the win is dedicated to Mampintsha, who died on Saturday, 24 December, and was buried on Friday, 30 December.

The track was released in November 2022 and has a video treatment, which currently seats on over 3 million streams in just a few weeks of its official release.
