Lagard re Travel Retail opens new foodservice outlets in Austrian railway stations Lagard re Travel Retail has recently opened 5 new foodservice outlets - "Deli Snack & Shop" and "LavazzaCaff Espresso Bar" at Graz railway station and "Wiener Caf & Restaurant Johann", "Burger King" and another "Lavazza Caff Bar" at Salzburg station. Previously operated by the Austrian Tekro Restaurant Betriebsgesellschaft, these new outlets represent a staff of 80 people.
Expansion of foodservice
Thomas Wiesel, CEO of Lagard re Travel Retail Germany, Austria and Slovenia comments "we are very pleased to be able to extend our commitment to food in Austria at these two strategic locations, which is a clear statement of the continuation of our expansion strategy. In addition, we warmly welcome the fully taken over and highly motivated team, with which we will gain additional extensive food competence."
Long-term contracts
The contracts with the Austrian Federal Railways ( sterreichische Bundesbahnen - BB) are long-term and provide potential for enhanced cooperation in the future. Thomas Wiesel: "We are of course planning on investing in the two new locations as well. Both to modernize the existing service and to open new concepts in Graz, Salzburg and other Austrian locations." Lagard re Travel Retail currently operates around 40 outlets across Vienna, Graz, Salzburg as well in local airports.
