At the 2022 SVG Summit, a panel of leaders from across ESPN shared their highlights from the past year and what operational, production, digital, and graphical enhancements they feel have the greatest staying power.

VP, Production Ed Placey highlights some of his favorite live-game enhancements from the year.

Augmented and mixed reality graphics are enhancing replays and even live game action. VP of ESPN Creative Studio Carrie Brzezinski-Hsu shared how big of a leap that has been for her team and what areas of technology get her the most excited.

How does a broadcaster with the clout of ESPN decide what innovations to invest in? VP, Sports Business Development & Innovation Kevin Lopes and Placey share their process for deciding when the juice is worth the squeeze.

From UHD/HDR to replay in the cloud, its been a big year in operational advancement at ESPN. Dennis Cleary, Director, Remote Facilities for Disney Media and Entertainment Distribution shares which moves he thinks will have the most sweeping impact.
