During a hectic NAB week in Las Vegas, more than 20 SVG members took time to tour the newest venue on the Strip: T-Mobile Arena. The 20,000-seat multipurpose facility a joint project between MGM Resorts International and AEG opened last month with a concert by The Killers, and will host sporting events like the UFC, Harlem Globetrotters, college basketball, and more. And while Las Vegas strives to secure either an NHL or NBA franchise (or possibly both), SVG went behind-the-scenes to check out what the venue has in store for the fan experience. T-Mobile Arena opened on April 6, 2016.
The venue, which does not yet house a professional sports franchise, is the only free-standing neutral site on the Las Vegas Strip.

The venue, which was preparing for a George Strait concert during SVG's tour, can seat 20,000 for boxing/UFC, 18,000 for basketball, and 17,500 for hockey.

With no home team yet, the venue is decked out in shots of the Las Vegas Strip.
A Daktronics center-hung videoboard was lifted into the ceiling to accommodate the concert set-up.
An outdoor patio looks out at the New York-New York hotel.
T-Mobile Arena's Toshiba Plaza flanked by the Monte Carlo and New York-New York hotels can host pre-game activities and outdoor concerts.
Tour attendees were invited to check out the truck dock outside the arena.
With home and away locker rooms for both basketball and hockey, the arena is prepared to welcome and NBA and/or NHL franchise.
