Avid viewers of the Real Housewives of Durban (RHOD), have reacted to the news that Nonkanyiso LaConco Conco, Londie London and Thobile MaKhumalo Mseleku would not be part of the third installment of the show, launching on 1 February 2023.

WHAT TO EXPECT ON RHOD SEASON 3 According to Showmax, Season 3 will introduce three brand-new cast members who are set to bring all the class, glamour, sass and drama we've come to love and expect from the franchise. eThekwini queens Maria Valaskatzis, Mbali Ngiba and Slindile Wendy Ndlovu are the new additions to the reality series. The new faces are set to join returning cast members Annie Mthembu, Jojo Robinson, Nonku Williams and Sorisha Naidoo.

Due to the social media backlash that LaConco and Thobile received, there were low chances of them returning. Avid watchers of the show bashed LaConco on numerous occasions for being uptight when it comes to private life. When the show premiered, it was reported that LaConco who shares a son with former South African president Jacob Zuma, was warned not to mention the family's name on the show.

THOBILE AND LACONCO DRMA FROM THE PREVIOUS SEASON In the previous season of the show, LaConco was accused of lying about having a mysterious man called Petal. She was accused of lying about Petal's yacht ownership and dragged for portraying him as a wealthy man. In the season finale of the second season, LaConco said Petal was her bestie and said she had no further explanation.

He is my bestie. Finish and klaar, full stop. I am tired of this. Jojo and Annie thought the flowers were fake, she said before Annie explained she was confused about her life.

They expect me to explain. You can't force anyone to talk. She must just respect that I will talk when I feel like it, she said.

MaKhumalo was dragged from her first appearance on the show. This came after she made a grand entrance riding in a Toyota and showcased her house in the rural. Viewers felt she did not appeal to the show's standards. Due to other gigs they are currently working on, the pair won't be a part of the new season, according to TshisaLIVE.

Londie is now based in Johannesburg while MaKhumalo and LaConco have new hosting gigs on Mzansi Wethu's new reality series Ezomshado and Mzansi Magic's Our Perfect Wedding respectively.

We're grateful for everything they brought to the show but are delighted with the mix of old and new faces this season, which is going to be a cracker, reality and entertainment local channels senior manager Lerato Moruti said.

VIEWERS REACT TO LACONCO AND LONDIE'S EXIT There has been mixed reaction to the star's exit and tweeps have weighed in their views.

Laconco did good by leaving. Understandable for Londie not to return after going through her divorce. Life has drastically changed since then. Thobile should have never gone on the show to begin with. Her brand is just not suited for a show like housewives.
