Inavation Awards: New venue revealed for 2020...

The Inavation Awards will change venue for its final event in Amsterdam, before it heads to Barcelona in 2021 to continue its close association with the ISE show.

Amsterdam's centrally located and well connected Beurs van Berlage will host the 14th Inavation Awards on February 11, 2020 the evening after the first day of the ISE exhibition.

Entries to the event open on September 17, 2019 and the celebration will bring global AV professionals together to celebrate creativity, excellence and dedication to the industry.

Beurs van Berlage, previously the city's commodity exchange, is an architecturally unique building packed with history. Its main hall is the largest in the centre of Amsterdam and has hosted royal weddings, showings by world class artists, music events, as well as countless conferences and exhibitions.

As well as celebrating the best of the global AV industry, the Inavation Awards has always offered enormous fun in a relaxed setting, said Dan Jago, founder of Inavate and the Inavation Awards.

Our venues have been a huge part of that experience on the night and, after four years of hosting the event at the Gashouder converted gas works, we're pleased to have secured another of Amsterdam's iconic and architecturally significant venues.

The celebrations are the culmination of the Inavation Awards programme that sees AV manufacturers, integrators, consultants, distributors and end users go head-to-head across several categories.

The key focus on the night is on the Project Awards that are contested by AV integrators, often in collaboration with consultants and end users. Projects are entered into a number of vertical categories before finalists and winners are selected by judges that reflect the global appeal of the awards.

The calibre of the Project Award entries is consistently high, and we're always genuinely honoured at the effort AV integrators in particular put into competing in the Inavation Awards, said Anna Mitchell, group editor of Inavate.

Very often these aren't large companies with dedicated marketing teams, but their time and investment is evident in creative entries that demonstrate technical skills pushing the boundaries of what is possible in this industry. It makes judging a tough job but also means that winners and finalists in the Inavation Awards place great value on triumphing among a such a strong field of contenders.

Distinct awards for consultants, project managers and distributors are also up for grabs.

Finally, technologies are shortlisted by judges across a range of categories that change yearly to reflect the current and future AV industry. Finalists are chosen through a vetted and verified voting process that adds weight to votes from technology buyers and users.
