Zhenhai increases investment in environmental protection

It is learned from Zhenhai District Bureau of Environmental Protection that the districts eco-environmental protection planning during the 13th Five-year Plan period has been approved. It is hoped that with the successful implementation of the planning, the district will solve some of its environmental problems and improve the districts environment on an overall basis. A total of 45 environmental projects in air cleaning, water cleaning, soil cleaning, industry cleaning. Forestation and risk prevention will be carried out, with a total investment of 17.82 billion yuan.

"We will arrange six pilot air pollution treatment projects, including the emission improvement of the thermal coal boilers of certain enterprises, the industrial VOC treatment, the catalytic process and technique improvement project of the Sinopec Zhenhai Refining & Chemical Company, the road dust treatment, the construction dust treatment and the white smog treatment." said a related person from the bureau. The planned investment in air pollution treatment will be 670 million yuan. The area of the construction dust treatment will be two million square meters per year in the district.

In terms of water cleaning, an investment of 2.542 billion yuan will be put into 12 water pollution treatment projects, including the 3rd phase of the expansion project of the sewage treatment factory of the northern area, the water reuse project of Zhenhai Power Plant, the southern section of the drainage project, the moving of the Xiepu floodgate, the maintenance of the sewage pipes, the construction of the sewage system of the Nine-dragon Lake Industrial Zone, the sewage and raindrop divergence transformation project of the industrial zone, the chemical technique reform project of Siming Mountain Town, the treatment of the livestock industry, the waterway treatment, the eco-restoration of the river courses, the smart water informationization and the rural sewage treatment project.

In soil cleaning, the investment will reach 560 million yuan, for such major projects as the living waste moving project of the southern Luotuo Town, the 3rd phase of the dangerous waste treatment of the Land Environment Company, the sludge incineration project of the petrochemical zone, the land restoration project of the relocation areas, and the classified treatment and recycling of the living waste.

As to industry cleaning, the plan shows that 10.108 billion yuan will be invested in six industrial improvement energy-saving projects, including the moving of the Zhenhai Power Plant, the treatment and moving of heavy-pollution industries, improvement of the chemical industry, improvement of the acid pickling industry, treatment of the casting industry, and the energy-saving and cleaning production. Among others, there are 71 sub-projects for energy-saving and consumption reduction in enterprises with a consumption of 10,000 tons of coal in 2016, with a total investment of 262 million yuan.
