HBS to Participate at two key Sports Broadcast ...

HBS' Chief Content Officer Dan Miodownik and Deputy Head of Digital Johannes Franken will take part in panels at two key European sporting events next week, SVG Europe's Football Production Summit and SportsPro Live. They will debate with their peers about the future of broadcasting and the impact of Virtual Reality (VR).

On Wednesday 23 March, Dan Miodownik will be sitting on a panel at SVG Europe's Football Production Summit held at the Stade de France, in the Paris suburb Saint-Denis.

SVG Europe's Football Production Summit is a unique forum for broadcasters, OB providers, federations, leagues and clubs to explore the present and future broadcast workflows shaping the coverage of football. Many topics will be addressed, such as how to create one production that meets the needs of many rights holders, or the impact of Ultra High Definition/High Dynamic Range images (UHD/HDR) and VR in the future.

Dan Miodownik's panel will focus on the challenge of moving forward with next-generation services like UHD and VR, how HD workflows are evolving, and where technology providers fit in to make a difference.

On the same day, Johannes Franken, HBS' Deputy Head of Digital, will be participating in a panel at SportsPro Live, at Wembley stadium in London, where he and fellow panelists will debate VR and try to establish what the push for this service means for the traditional TV experience.

SportsPro Live is a two-day event where leaders meet to discuss the evolutions and revolutions happening across the global sports industry. SportsPro Live showcases new concepts, models and technologies that are reshaping the sports and media landscapes; it also checks with sports organisations how they are adapting to shifting markets in the face of changing consumer demands.

On the first day of SportsPro Live, HBS' parent company Infront Sports & Media will take central stage to discuss its new integration inside the Chinese conglomerate Dalian Wanda Group. With Andrew Messick, Ironman's Director and CEO, Philippe Blatter, President & CEO, Infront Sports & Media and Wanda Sports Holding, will present the group's future orientations.

This event will be an occasion for HBS to showcase its strengthened digital offer and to present the work of Infront Digital Solutions (IDS), a groundbreaking trans-company group revolving around global digital strategies designed and implemented by HBS, parent company Infront and their subsidiary Omnigon.
