Media Links , manufacturer and pioneer in Media over IP transport technology, announces that it will be exhibiting at the upcoming Virtual InterBee 2020 from November 18-20, 2020, with the exhibition remaining open until February, 26, 2021. The company will also be involved in the event's IP Showcase, a multi-vendor remote production IP demonstration.

Media Links' entire media over IP transport/switching portfolio for the network edge and core, and management software lends itself to easy customization to accommodate various evolving video formats - whether 4K, HDR, 1080P, ST2110 or other media needs, including increasingly more data carriage capabilities.

Remote Production

At the forefront of Media Links' InterBee exhibition is the Company's technology, which is focused toward remote production applications for wide-area networks. The broadcast industry's migration to remote production is really pushing the need for more video feeds and more bandwidth, which Media Links addresses with its MD8000 Media over IP Platform, MDX100G Switch family and MD3000 Series of IP Media Gateways.

The IP multi-vendor showcase will include Media Links' MDP3020 IP Media Gateway used in an OB Van for transporting JPEG-XS compressed video and data (camera control, tally, intercom) signals over a seamlessly protected switching network (ST-2022-7) to/from the remote production studio.

4K UHD with TICO

To support UHD-1 applications that rely on visually lossless video quality and ultra-low latency/delays, Media Links will showcase its MDP3040 IP Media Gateway for 4K content. Using TICO compression, the MDP3040 converts incoming 12G-SDI video signals into IP encapsulated 3G-SDI streams that can be sent over WAN or studio LAN's. The MDP3040 can also convert 12G-SDI feeds into TICO compressed 3G-SDI outputs, making it ideal for sending high bandwidth 4K signals over existing SDI baseband studio networks.

CWDM Video Transmission for 4K

The MD003 with TICO compression has been widely adopted in Japan and offers a 4K transport solution for dedicated dark fiber applications. Up to 8 channels of 4K/UHD video signals can be transmitted over one optical fiber on a single MD003 device.

100G IP Eco-System

Media Links' new generation 100G edition of its proven & trusted MD8000 IP transport platform addresses the ever increasing need for more and more bandwidth at the network edge. The MD8000-100G edition offers a 10x bandwidth increase from 10Gb/s to 100Gb/s, which allows broadcasters and network providers across the globe to transport more media channels than ever before.

Supporting the entire Media Links eco-system is the ProMD EMS - Enhanced Management System. This software provides real-time system and device management, monitoring and troubleshooting.
