Yahoo Sports and Apple TV have announced a partnership to deliver alternate broadcasts of select Friday Night Baseball and MLS games on the Yahoo Sports website and app, featuring commentary from Yahoo Sports analysts and camera angles provided by Apple TV.
We're thrilled to pair our expert voices with Apple TV's live coverage to give fans on Yahoo a fun new way to watch Friday Night Baseball' and MLS action, says Jarrod Schwarz, General Manager, Yahoo Sports. These broadcasts will feature the insight, personality, and chemistry that make Baseball Bar-B-Cast and The Cooligans so popular, and we can't wait to see that energy show up during some of the season's biggest games.
Baseball Bar-B-Cast hosts Jake Mintz and Jordan Shusterman will call the first two innings of two Friday Night Baseball games: Detroit Tigers at Cleveland Guardians on September 4 and Philadelphia Phillies at New York Mets on September 18. Yahoo Sports senior MLB writers will host pregame shows for each game.
The Cooligans hosts Alexis Guerreros and Christian Polanco will call two MLS matches in full, including pregame coverage: the 2026 Michelob ULTRA Campeones Cup between Inter Miami CF and Cruz Azul on September 16, and Inter Miami CF vs. FC Cincinnati on October 28. MLS altcast camera options will include a referee cam and a feed shot on iPhone.
Following each two-inning Friday Night Baseball altcast, Apple TV subscribers can continue watching the full game on Apple TV.
