Story Highlights

Following the United States' historic upset over powerhouse Pakistan on Thursday and with an epic matchup between Pakistan and India on deck this weekend in the ICC Men's T20 World Cup, the sport of cricket is becoming a popular topic of conversation.

Rewind to last fall, the cricket world was abuzz following the thrilling victory for the Australians and the heartbreaking defeat of host country India at the 2023 ICC Men's Cricket World Cup. That event was, naturally, a massive broadcast event in India with Disney Hotstar setting multiple global concurrency streaming records.

In this special presentation, Disney Hotstar Chief Architect Harsh Mittal shares what technologies enabled delivery of a quality experience at such a massive scale and the type of production and programming features that kept cricket fans tuned in.

This session was hosted at the first SVG India Summit on April 30 in Mumbai.
