Stockholm, Sweden - Net Insight, the leading provider in media transport and resource scheduling, today announces that France T l visions R seau Outre-Mer, the network of TV and radio stations operating in France s overseas territories around the world, has deployed the company s internet media transport solution, Nimbra VA 220, for a new media contribution and distribution network. Thenetwork operates betweenFrance T l visions production facility outside Paris, and its overseas territories, which include Martinique, R union, Saint Pierre and Miquelon, Guadeloupe and French Guiana.

For any national broadcaster today the requirements placed on them to provide "more for less " by controlling costs, yet still offering a high-quality viewing experience, can be challenging. Achieving these goals at a worldwide level where connectivity resources are limited can prove even more difficult. This was just such a challenge that France T l visions faced and one that has been solved by the deployment of Net Insight s internet media transport solution. Significantly, this includes the replacement of the broadcaster s satellite back-up network and the ability to add more territories in the future, without having to completely overhaul its current infrastructure.
