Cooke Optics Displays a Host of New Lenses at CineGear Expo 06

180mm and 300mm Anamorphic/i prime lenses

Cooke Optics, the multi-award winning manufacturer of precision lenses for film and television, will present a range of its latest lenses at Cine Gear LA Expo running from June 2-5 2016 at The Studios at Paramount in Hollywood.

On display at Booth 67 will be the brand new true front Anamorphic/i 35-140mm zoom lens that had its first ever showing at NAB earlier this year, alongside the acclaimed Cooke S4/i, 5/i, miniS4/i and Anamorphic/i prime lens families. Of particular interest are the new 180mm, 65mm Macro and 300mm Anamorphic/i prime lenses which complete the 10 prime lens set.

Visitors can also head over to the stand to speak to a member of the team about the specifications on the new 45-405mm zoom lens that was announced at NAB. The new front Anamorphic/i 35-140mm zoom lens matches the color and depth of field characteristics of the existing Anamorphic/i prime lenses in the set with T3.1-22 aperture and 90 rotation of iris scale. Most notably however, this lens offers shooting from very wide angle to telephoto with a 4x zoom ratio and 2x anamorphic squeeze with oval bokeh throughout zoom and focus.

Those wanting to watch cinematographers chat about their experience in film making should head to Cooke Optics TV web channel. Fast approaching its one year anniversary, the channel features free weekly informative interviews from renowned cinematographers including Ed Lachman, John Mathieson and Sean Bobbitt speaking about their film making experiences.
