dB Broadcast Welcomes Two New Junior Systems Engineers

We're delighted to announce the appointment of Max Mehta and Mark Fannon as Junior Systems Engineers, further strengthening our growing Technology team.

Max Mehta joins dB Broadcast following his graduation from the University of Salford, where he achieved a first-class Honours degree in Media Technology. During his studies, he gained valuable hands-on experience at MUTV (Manchester United Television) as a Transmission Engineer, responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Grass Valley iTX playout system and ensuring seamless 24/7 video delivery to audiences around the world.

His university project work reflected both technical skill and creativity, including the design of a pair of ST 2110 48-camera Outside Broadcast (OB) trucks intended for producing World Rally Championship events complete with detailed schematics, wiring diagrams and operational simulations. Max also conducted research into the future implementation of 6G mobile networks.

Max brings a forward-thinking approach and enthusiasm for innovation to the dB Broadcast team.

Mark Fannon is a first-class graduate in Computer Science from the University of Nottingham, with experience designing, installing, and operating IP-based broadcast systems. As Head of Technology and Digital at University Radio Nottingham, Mark oversaw the station's successful return to live broadcasting-leading the installation of AoIP studios and editing suites using Axia Livewire+, AES67, and NDI video technologies.

Combining expertise in both broadcast technology and enterprise IT infrastructure, Mark has a strong foundation in managed networks, virtualisation, Linux systems, and datacentre management.

Mark is also a confident communicator who enjoys sharing technical knowledge and collaborating with colleagues across disciplines.



Both Max and Mark began their roles this September. Their combined skills in broadcast technology, IT infrastructure, and emerging standards will support dB Broadcast's continued commitment to delivering cutting-edge systems integration and engineering excellence across the Media & Entertainment sectors.
