Black Panther: Wakanda Forever has been scoring BIG at the box office and during awards season. The blockbuster sequel has picked up multiple trophies and nominations since its November 2022.

On Tuesday 10 January, Angela Bassett won the Golden Globe award for Best Performance by an actress in a supporting role in any motion picture. This was the first time that an actor won in an acting category for a Marvel film

Adding even more excitement to the massive Oscars buzz for the sequel, there have been hints of a threequel.

WAKANDA FOREVER RETURNS FOR A POSSIBLE THIRD TIME In an interview with Variety on the Golden Globes red carpet, Wakanda Forever leading lady, Letitia Wright opened up about a possible threequal.

She added though that it might take some time though before the Marvel faithful get another sequel after the emotionally-heavy Black Panther follow-up, cinemablend.com reports.

The sequel saw the loss of yet another key figure in Angela Bassett's Queen Ramonda.

And as Wright said, the break will give writer-director Ryan Coogler enough time to write the threequel script.

A MUST=SEE Wakanda Forever has racked up a whole string of wins and nominations since it's release. And while the entire cast has been signaled out, the spotlight has been firmly on Angela Bassett. She's been nominated for a SAG, SAG, Satellite, and Critics' Choice Awards.

She walked away with a Golden Globe, becoming the first Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) star to win a major acting award for a Marvel film.

The sequel hasn't done too shabby either, racking up multiple nominations from those award shows, along with Black Reel Awards. Now, as the Academy Awards nominations quickly approach, fans will have to wait and see how many noms the sequels and its stars will pick up on nomination day.
