Just a few weeks away from the most important Broadcast and Media & Entertainment event, Toni Vilalta, VSN's Product Manager, finds some time to answer a series of questions on this event and the activity of the company. Between the preparation of the new VSN Webinar and the final tune-up of the new features that will be launched at NAB Show 2016, the company is focused on turning the event into one of the most important of its history. What can you tell us about the new features that VSN is bringing to NAB Show 2016?
For this edition we have very interesting new features that, we are sure, are going to caught a lot of attention from visitors and attendees. Recently we have carried out a complete integration of VSNEXPLORER with Microsoft Azure's Media Services, giving our Media Management solution and its associated modules a versatility and a capacity of adaptation to any workflow that will change the way we work in the industry. We have recently presented this integration with great success in a Webinar organized with Microsoft, and we are certainly waiting for NAB Show to keep showing the sector everything that VSNEXPLORER can achieve.
We have also been working hard to bring our News & Live Production and MCR Automation, Distribution and Second Screens with a bunch of new developments that directly provide an answer to the needs that the users of the industry have. And we are sure that these new features will keep these solutions at the vanguard of the sector. We are conscious of the advantages that Cloud technologies have brought to the industry and of the growing importance that of second screens and content management for the Broadcast and Media & Entertainment. And we have worked to make our solutions the best choice in the new context.
In the last months, VSN has launched a very active Webinar campaign on industry topics. What can you tell us about it?
We are very satisfied with the excellent results that our Webinars have gathered since the beginning. From the advantages of using a MAM system to manage content to the impact of the Cloud or how to best work with content in second screens, we have put our efforts in covering topics of high interest for the industry, topics in which our users are very interested because the have direct contact with them in their daily activities. This way, we manage to create relevant and key content that aims to show our audience how to best find an answer to their daily needs by using the best technology available. The attendance reports and the good ratings we have received is the best proof that our Webinars are relevant to our users. Our last Webinar, developed with Microsoft on collaborative work on Cloud, confirms that we are on the right path.
And I unveil something: our next Webinar will be on April 30 and it will cover everything about the advanced management and planning of a TV channel. We will soon put more details about it at our Website and make the inscription links available for those interested in attending the Webinar.
What other international events has VSN programmed for this year?
Our policy consists in bringing our new features to the most important events of the sector every year. We have just been in Dubai, at CABSAT 2016, visiting our user and audiences in the region, and in April we are certainly going to NAB Show 2016 with a modern and technological stand that makes us very proud. In june we will visit Singapore to present our portfolio of solutions at BroadcastAsia 2016, and in September we will be at IBC 2016, where we have a very important project developed for Telef nica Servicios Audiovisuales (TSA) competing at the IBC Innovation Awards. In October, we have plans to visit Tecnotelevisi n&Radio in Colombia. We are also preparing several roadshows to show our products in action and to listen to our user to find out new ways of solving their needs. We face this challenges with a lot of energy: we do not stop for a second!
