RT lyric fm is thrilled to be back in the Phoenix Park with Bord Bia Bloom. With great music, lyric fm favourites and exclusive events for Bord Bia Bloom visitors, this year's RT lyric fm presence is shaping up to be the biggest to date as it moves to the main stage.

Marty Whelan will kick off Bord Bia Bloom 2023 on the main stage with great live music, chat and special guests from 10-12 noon on Thursday 1st June. The ultimate garden party, join Marty for a morning coffee, occasional dad jokes and maybe pick up a Marty Moustache! Tune into Marty in the Morning in the lead up to Bord Bia Bloom, weekdays 7:00 - 10:00 on RT lyric fm, for event updates and a chance to win Bord Bia Bloom passes.

Irish Soprano Celine Byrne and Marty Whelan On Saturday's Movies and Musicals, presenter Aed n Gormley shared the news with listeners that world renowned lyric soprano and opera star, Celine Byrne, will step in as guest presenter to cover her upcoming holidays. And RT lyric fm and Bord Bia Bloom are excited to present Movies and Musicals Live with Celine Byrne on Saturday 3rd June 2023. This outside broadcast special will include live music performances and chat with Celine Byrne and guests, plus a few surprises from the Bord Bia Bloom main stage. A special treat for Bloom visitors and lyric listeners tuning in around the country 13:00- 15:00. More details to be announced, stay tuned to RT lyric fm and social accounts for updates. The award-winning Movies and Musicals is broadcast from 1:00- 4:00pm every Saturday on RT lyric and recent Movies and Musicals sold-out concerts with the RT Concert Orchestra have enjoyed tremendous reviews.

Meanwhile, George Hamilton will broadcast his show, The Hamilton Scores, live from the RT Roadcaster at the Walled Garden, on Sunday 4th June between 10:00 and 13:00. Not only will George have an unbeatable line-up of musical greats and tales from his travels, but he will also have some spot prizes so make sure and pop down to say hello.

RT jr and RT Kids will also feature across the weekend's schedule at the new Budding Bloomers Kids Zone, as RT jr presents Storybud on the big screen. Grab a picnic blanket as Storybud adds a fun Irish twist to classic fairy tales, narrated by a host of well-known faces including Jason Byrne, Baz Ashmawy, Doireann Garrihy, Deirdre O'Kane and more.

RT jr will also host the DJ for a Day Kids Disco. The kids will take over the music choices with guest kid DJs on rotation, dancers and surprises for a fun disco for kids of all ages to get involved in. Big kid parents can bring their dancing shoes too! Stay tuned to RT jr Radio and social accounts for the chance to become a DJ for a Day at Bord Bia Bloom.

Elsewhere, well known and loved professional magician Joe Daly (known as the Magical Delivery Man in RT jr kids' TV show Dizzy Deliveries) will perform a live magic show with crowd interaction and close up magic that will ensure the audience leave Bloom believing in magic. And Mark Langtry (Let's Find Out) will bring his live science show, igniting curiosity in kids of all ages, with plenty of surprises.

RT Radio 1's Countrywide, presented by Philip Boucher-Hayes, will broadcast live from Bord Bia Bloom on Saturday 3rd June 08:10 09:00, and Marty Morrissey and ine Lawlor will be back on RT One and RT Player with Bloom, capturing the fun and colour of the June bank holiday weekend at Bord Bia Bloom.
