Andaluc a, laboratorio de pruebas del 4K en el Sur de Europa? El presidente del Consejo de Administraci n de la Radio Televisi n de Andaluc a (RTVA), Rafael Porras, reitera su compromiso con la Innovaci n y con las Nuevas Tecnolog as en el campo Audiovisual en el Sur de Europa.
Andaluc a, adem s de ser el lugar de encuentro anualmente de los gur s de la Ultra Alta Definici n (UHD) a nivel mundial, que desde 2015 participan en la 4K HDR Summit para compartir sus experiencias y avances, sigue jugando sus bazas para convertirse en el futuro en el laboratorio de pruebas europeo del 4K.
El presidente del Consejo de Administraci n de la Radio Televisi n de Andaluc a (RTVA), Rafael Porras, que abrir el llamado President's Day de la 4KHDR Summit, ha reiterado su compromiso con la Innovaci n y con las Nuevas Tecnolog as en el campo Audiovisual en el Sur de Europa.
En la jornada de clausura, Porras ser el anfitri n de las conferencias y del exclusivo panel de debate de los presidentes de la UHD Alliance (Michael Zink, de Warner Bros.); del UHD Forum (Thierry Fautier, de Harmonic); y de la 8K Association (Chris Chinnock, de Insight Media).
La sexta edici n de la 4K-HDR Summit, la primera virtual, se celebrar los d as 17, 18 y 19 de noviembre, despu s de haber celebrado todas sus ediciones anteriores en Andaluc a: las dos primeras en Sevilla y las tres siguientes en el Polo Nacional de Contenidos Digitales de M laga.
Por sexta vez, la Radio Televisi n de Andaluc a patrocina la 4K Summit, el evento m s importante sobre la Ultra Alta Definici n a nivel mundial. Hemos querido seguir siendo la cadena anfitriona, aunque este a o haya tenido que ser virtual , destaca el presidente del Consejo de Administraci n de la RTVA.
Y no s lo eso. Contenidos en 4K apoyados por Canal Sur han sido reconocidos este a o en los principales eventos mundiales de televisi n, e incluso nuestras pel culas est n en la carrera por los Oscar de Hollywood , destaca Porras.
Las dimensiones geogr ficas, econ micas y sociales de Andaluc a son equiparables (e incluso superan) a las de otros pa ses de la Uni n Europea, a la hora de convertirse en candidato ideal para ser laboratorio de pruebas de la Ultra Alta Definici n en Europa.
Con 8,5 millones de habitantes (similar a Portugal), con una poblaci n mucho m s joven que la media del Viejo Continente, con una estabilidad pol tico-econ mica s lida dentro de la Uni n Europea y de la Zona Euro, y con una privilegiada ubicaci n geogr fica y clim tica, Andaluc a goza de una situaci n ideal para ser un permanente y atractivo laboratorio de pruebas de la Ultra Alta Definici n (UHD).
Adem s de la calidad de vida, Andaluc a garantiza un ratio de horas/sol para las grabaciones en exteriores (fundamentales para las producciones cinematogr ficas y para la Ultra Alta Definici n), que la hacen imbatible frente a otras regiones o pa ses europeos.
En Andaluc a, y desde hace 4 a os, se est n emitiendo se ales en pruebas en UHD desde Sevilla y M laga, a trav s de torres de emisi n de la multinacional Cellnex Telecom, l der europeo en telecomunicaciones inal mbricas.
Pero eso no es todo. El operador de telecomunicaciones Axi n, con sede en Valencina (Sevilla), que acaba de ser adquirida a la australiana AMP Capital por el mayor fondo de capital riesgo espa ol (Asterion) con m s de 1.000 millones de euros, ya ha dado pasos para iniciar test de transmisi n en Ultra Alta Definici n desde al menos cuatro capitales de provincia de la comunidad m s poblada de Espa a.
Francisco Hurtado, director t cnico y de operaciones de Axi n, que tambi n participar en la 4K HDR Summit, estudia las posibilidades que la UHD puede tener para los 5.000 puntos de distribuci n por toda la geograf a espa ola, las m s de 635 torres y los 4.600 kil metros de fibra que gestiona a trav s de Axent, la compa a en la que participa con Enag s.
En opini n de los expertos, Asterion, con la compra de Axi n, ha pisado el acelerador en su objetivo de convertirse en el mayor fondo de infraestructuras espa ol con enfoque europeo, ya que cuenta tambi n con inversiones en Italia, Francia y el Reino Unido.
