Rising star, Kwanele Mthethwa, who just exited DStv's second-most-watched telenovela, The Queen, recently opened up about playing Brutus' girlfriend and acting alongside legendary actress, Connie Ferguson.

The 25-year-old told Drum Magazine that having to disrespect Connie Ferguson's character as Brutus' girlfriend, was not easy.
I'm not perfect .

IT ENDS IN TEARS FOR PHUMEZA' Viewers of the show were not surprised when Brutus (Themba Ndaba) brought another girlfriend to the Khoza mansion weeks after his engagement to Norma (Brenda Ngxoli) ended.
What made Phumeza stand out from the rest was the fact that she tried to dethrone Harriet Khoza (Connie Ferguson) as the queen.

Brutus took over the Khoza empire after he found out that Harriet was having an affair with the Khozas enemy, Hector Sebata.
The pair kept the affair a secret from the rest of the Khozas and made a pact that Brutus would rule the empire.
#TheQueenMzansi viewers watched in shock as Brutus' latest floozy ridiculed Harriet and the rest of the staff in her house.

The actress says she could not believe what she was doing as the new kid on the block.
Oh my word, it was a lot. Phumeza was so disrespectful.
I was so nervous about this character, but I had to put Kwanele aside and get into Phumeza.
I had to put my adoration and admiration I have for her (Connie) aside so that I could be true to the character. I was sweating the whole time
She adds that Connie was extremely gracious about everything off-camera made her feel comfortable around her.
Mthethwa also states that Mrs Ferguson is used to people being nervous around her and knows how to handle those situations.
She was very welcoming, and we had a couple of conversations in between takes and she was very nice.
The actress also reveals that Brutus has a script but doesn't stick to it and uses his script as a guideline.
The actress also recently appeared on season two of Mzansi Magic's Abomama and Showmax's Umakoti Wethu.
