Four bumper days of live Sport across RT

A packed schedule of live sport on RT television and RT Player begins this afternoon with day one of the Horizon Irish Open from the K Club where Joanne Cantwell will be joined by Gary Murphy and John McHenry on RT 2 and RT Player from 1.00pm for the first of four days coverage.

This evening sees Darragh Maloney present live coverage alongside Didi Hamann, Richie Sadlier and Shay Given of France v Republic of Ireland in the Euro Qualifiers from Parc de Princes, Paris. Commentary from Des Curran. (RT 2 & RT Player) KO 7.45pm.

The Irish Open continues tomorrow from 1.00pm on RT 2 and RT Player while later at 6.45pm Jacqui Hurley will be joined by Donal Lenihan, Jamie Heaslip, Jerry Flannery and Stephen Ferris for live coverage of the Opening Ceremony of the Rugby World Cup followed by France v New Zealand from Stade de France, Paris.

Tomorrow sees the first of three days of live coverage of the World Rowing Championships from Belgrade on RT News Channel and RT Player. Tomorrow's packed schedule is rounded out by live coverage of the UEFA European Under-21 Qualifier between the Republic of Ireland and T rkiye from Turners Cross, Cork, again on RT News Channel and RT Player (KO 7.30pm)

Saturday's action gets underway at 12.00pm on RT News Channel and RT Player with day two from Belgrade of the World Rowing Championships followed by day three of the Horizon Irish Open from the K Club (1.10pm, RT One & RT Player) while Ruby Walsh will be joined by Emmet McNamara and Jane Mangan for the Irish Champions Festival from Leopardstown on RT 2 and RT Player from 2.00pm.

Then it's a double header of live Rugby World Cup action on RT 2 and RT Player from 4.45pm as Australia face Georgia (KO 5.00pm) followed by England v Argentina (KO 8.00pm).

An early start on Sunday (11.30am, RT 2 & RT Player) sees Japan take on Chile in the Rugby World Cup with live coverage of the World Rowing Championships from Belgrade starting at 12.00pm on RT News Channel and RT Player.

Live coverage of the final round of the Horizon Irish Open tees off at 1.10pm on RT One and RT Player with the second day of the Irish Champions Festival from the Curragh gets underway at 2.15pm on RT 2 and RT Player.

The weekend is rounded-off in style with Peter Collins alongside Didi Hamann, Richie Sadlier and Stephen Kelly for live coverage of the Republic of Ireland v the Netherlands in the Euro Qualifiers from the Aviva Stadium. KO 7.45pm, RT 2 and RT Player.
