NAB 2026: Ikegami introduces VFE-P07D OLED viewfinder with integrated LCD monitor

Ikegami (Booth C3819) announced the VFE-P07D monocular OLED viewfinder at NAB Show 2026, featuring an integrated tiltable 3.5-inch LCD monitor for on-camera use.

The VFE-P07D is designed for use with shoulder-mounted and studio-format cameras in the UNICAM XE series. It combines a Full HD OLED viewfinder with an auxiliary LCD display intended to support a range of shooting and monitoring scenarios, including off-centre camera positions and operation at a distance from the eyepiece.

The VFE-P07D attaches easily to shoulder-mounting and studio-format cameras in the UNICAM XE series, said Teri Zastrow, Director of Sales & Marketing at Ikegami USA. The viewfinder incorporates a Full HD resolution OLED screen in a monoscope configuration which allows accurate camera positioning and focusing across a wide range of lighting environments, from bright outdoors to low-illumination interiors. The OLED's quick response time is particularly useful when televising fast-moving subjects such as sports. Its high contrast range is another key advantage especially when capturing content in HDR mode. Hinge-mounted above the monoscope is a 3.5-inch LCD monitor for use in applications such as content capture from off-center shooting angles and monitoring positions further from the eyepiece.

The OLED display is based on a 0.7-inch panel with a 16:9 aspect ratio, 1920 x 1080 resolution, 200 cd/m brightness and an integrated magnifying lens. The 3.5-inch TFT LCD monitor offers 450 cd/m brightness, 170-degree viewing angles and can be rotated laterally through 180 degrees, with a tilt range of more than 120 degrees. Both displays support 16.7 million colours.

The viewfinder includes on-unit controls for peak level, contrast, brightness, menu settings, marker selection, zebra pattern and tally brightness, along with an assignable pushbutton. A forward-facing tally light is also integrated.

A BNC input allows externally sourced HD or 3G-SDI signals to be monitored on the LCD display, supporting use in space-constrained or location-based environments. Additional tools available include waveform, vectorscope and audio metering.

The VFE-P07D is compatible with UNICAM XE series cameras including the HDK-X500, UHK-X600, UHK-X700 and UHK-X700RF, all of which incorporate 3-CMOS global shutter imagers and support ITU-R BT.2020 HDR.

Ikegami is demonstrating the VFE-P07D alongside other viewfinders and camera systems at NAB Show 2026 in Las Vegas (Booth C3819).
