CBC Sports Radio Operations Manager/Program Director Dennis Glasgow is among the best program directors in American. Radio Ink Magazine released their 2016 Most Successful Program Directors in Radio in May, and made the list. Radio Ink recognized the Top 50, selected from among over 15,000 radio stations in the United States.

First of all, I am honored the Radio Ink would recognize me for this prestigious list of radio programmers, said Glasgow. Secondly, I view this as a team award for all of sports radio. We have a very talented staff that have achieved some very cool things over the last couple of years, and I'm grateful for their hard work to make our sports audio stations at CBC some of the best in the country.

Program directors are nominated and then Radio Ink considers the results of a subsequent questionnaire, ratings, experience awards and additional factors, in putting the list.

2016 Radio Ink Best Program Directors

Program directors have enormous responsibilities these days, reads the Radio Ink profile. They must produce the best content in all of audio, because the competition for ears has never been greater. They have to find and teach and massage new local talent. And they surely must help produce a product the sales department can successfully sell so that fire-breathing GM can be calm, cool, and collected while sending that nice big piece of the cash-flow action back to corporate.

Glasgow serves as program director, as well as operations manager for all of CBC's sports radio stations, including 99.9 The Fan (WCMC), Buzz Sports Radio (WDNC) and The Ticket (WCLY).
