The ICAA presents the second edition of Shorts from Spain El cat logo que el Instituto de Cinematograf a y de las Artes Audiovisuales difundir en mercados, festivales y muestras internacionales recoge los mejores cortos espa oles. Por segundo a o consecutivo el ICAA edita Shorts from Spain, una selecci n de 10 cortometrajes que representan lo mejor del corto espa ol.
Es un cat logo que el Instituto de Cinematograf a y de las Artes Audiovisuales difundir en mercados, festivales y muestras internacionales. Su primera parada Clermont Ferrand, uno de los mayores mercados internaciones dedicado al cortometraje y que desde el a o pasado vuelve a contar con un stand espa ol.
Este cat logo es encargado por el ICAA a las asociaciones del cortometraje: La Plataforma Nuevos Realizadores (PNR), la Asociaci n de la Industria del Cortometraje (AIC) y la Coordinadora del Cortometraje, que crean un comit externo, especializado y diferente cada a o, para que hagan una selecci n los m s diversa, plural e imprescindible posible. Y con una nica m xima: que los 10 finalistas representen lo mejor del cortometraje.
Los cortometrajes que optan solo tienen que estar calificados en el a o anterior a la edici n y haber sido inscritos a los premios Goya.
Los cortometrajes Shorts From Spain 2016 acaparan muchas selecciones en festivales nacionales e internacionales como la Berlinale, Mar de Plata, Toronto o el Montreal World Film Festival de Canad , as como varias nominaciones a los premios Goya y al Cartoon D Or.
Y se han alzado con grandes premios como: premio Goya, varios premios en el Festival de M laga, mejor cortometraje espa ol de ficci n en el Festival iberoamericano de Huelva, mejor cortometraje en el Festival Internacional de cine de Gij n, festival internacional de Aguilar de Campoo, premios Madrid en corto, premios en el festival de Lyon, en el de Barcelona o mejor cortometraje el Festival de cine de Madrid, entre otros.
El formato final es DVD, Bluray, y por primera vez se ha incorporado un c digo QR para que los cortometrajes puedan ser visionados al momento por los profesionales interesados en la selecci n.
Tambi n se ha creado una Web donde se puede encontrar la informaci n de los diferentes cortometrajes, visionar su trailer y ponerse en contacto con las asociaciones para cualquier solicitud.
El a o pasado tambi n se lleg a un acuerdo con AECID (la Agencia Espa ola de Cooperaci n Internacional para el Desarrollo) para programar los cortos en diferentes Embajadas e Institutos Cervantes de todo el mundo. Acuerdo que se espera continuar.
