13 March 2014 UKTV Director of Commissioning, Jane Rogerson will leave UKTV after six and a half successful years with the broadcaster. Jane Rogerson joined UKTV in 2007 as Director of Commissioning, Factual and Factual Entertainment with a remit to revamp UKTV's commissioning output and establish it as a leading creative content commissioner. In 2009 she was promoted to be Director of Commissioning overseeing the entire commissioned output for the UKTV network of 10 channels. Since then the commissioning slate has been transformed and UKTV's commissioning team have enjoyed critically-acclaimed and award-winning hit shows such as Dynamo: Magician Impossible, Choccywoccydoodah, Yes, Prime Minister, Red Dwarf X, Fry and Laurie Reunited, Fawlty Towers: Re-opened and T.A. and the Taliban. After six and a half years, Jane has decided to leave UKTV and take a break before looking for a new adventure.
Jane has established strong links with the independent and talent community in the UK and America resulting in the best household names working for UKTV. Since she joined, UKTV's commissioning output has seen its most successful period in the company's history in terms of viewers, awards and commercial sales. Before joining UKTV Jane was the Controller of Features, ITV; Creative Director, Mentorn; Producer, Rough Justice, BBC Documentaries; and Commissioning Editor, BBC Newsnight.

I've had a blast at UKTV and been privileged to work with some of the most talented people in television, on screen and off. After over six years it's time for a new adventure and I wish everyone at and connected with UKTV the very best for the next chapter in the company's history.
UKTV CEO Darren Childs said, Jane has made a huge contribution to UKTV's original content output which has transformed UKTV's reputation and success as a business, for which both I, and the company owe a debt of gratitude.
UKTV will make a formal announcement about the new Director of Commissioning in due course.
