Omron chooses Anybus gateways for their NJ-series controllers

Monday, March 17, 2014

Omron in Japan has chosen Anybus gateways as the one of network connectivity solutions for their NJ-series controllers. Anybus gateways will be connected to this EtherCAT-based controller to offer connectivity to any device or network.

Anybus gateways work as a translator between industrial devices and networks. Anybus X-gateways are used to bridge two different networks while Communicators are used to connect a non-networked industrial device.

Omron will use both gateway types depending on what is connected to their controller.

No programming needed!

The configuration between controller and the device/network is quickly set up in a windows-based configuration software. No programming is needed and the setup is done in a matter of minutes.

Quick access to any network for Omron

We are very happy that Omron has chosen to standardize on Anybus gateways says, says Masafumi Motosugi, Technical Manager at HMS Japan.

With Anybus gateways, Omron will get quick and easy access to any industrial network or device, which will widen their market and enable their controller to communicate globally.

Connection Guides

Omron has developed Connection Guides which describe how to connect the NJ-Series to Anybus gateways. These Connection Guides can be downloaded from anybus.com
