Foreign trade volume in Ninghai grows for ree years

In January 2016, Ninghai County achieved a total foreign trade volume of US$248 million, up by 2.8% over the same period of last year. In 2015, the foreign trade volume of the county stood at US$2.504 billion, ranking No.1 among all the districts and counties in Ningbo in terms of growth rate. As is reported, the county has witness the positive growth of foreign trade against the gloomy international trade situation over the past three consecutive years.

"The precise support from the government is indispensible for the steady growth." said a related person from Ninghai County Bureau of Commerce. By giving full play to the leverage effect of the financing and interest discount policy, the county encouraged the enterprises to conduct the credit insurance financing and the loans based on the trust export refund account. In 2015, it launched the trilateral cooperation between government, enterprise and banking based on the classified management qualification of export refund, the first of its kind in Ningbo. In accordance with the operation level of the exporters, the project will estimate the refund volume of the enterprise and then grant the capital loans according to its credit, effectively reducing the associated guarantee while helping the enterprise to obtain low-cost financing.

Statistics show that in 2015 the above mentioned financing pattern led to a banking financing volume of 1.7 billion yuan with a policy capital of five million yuan. It solved the financing difficulties of about 100 enterprises, and introduced over 15 million yuan for foreign trade enterprises, and 27.04 million yuan as support fund at the county level, benefiting about 500 enterprises in the county.

The county has launched the innovative insurance model for the micro and small foreign trade enterprises, and helped to reduce their burden by transforming the traditional "grant based on payment" model to the "grant for insurance" model. "In the past, we had to first pay 70% of the insurance premium, and then the government would give us subsidy next year. Now the government pays the insurance premium, and we can have more capital for further production." said a person in charge from the Foreign Trade Department of Ningbo Shijia-Jiachen Machinery Co. Ltd.

Meanwhile, Ninghai County has actively encouraged the enterprises to take part in the prominent exhibitions in their own fields to expand the international market. In 2015, over 800 enterprises in the county attended the Canton Fair, the CICGF, the East China fair, and over 50 major exhibitions and fairs in such countries as the US, Germany, Brazil and Turkey. Among others, it organized 24 upstream and downstream enterprises to attend the Hong Kong Gifts & Premium Fair for the first time, obtaining a total intended volume of US$20 million.
