Central London, 22 November 2016 Sundance Institute and Picturehouse are delighted to announce that the Sundance Film Festival: London will return to Picturehouse Central from 1-4 June 2017. The festival will feature the international and UK premieres of films from the 2017 edition of the renowned Sundance Film Festival which takes place 19-29 January in Park City, Utah, U.S.A.
Film fans can register for festival passes for the 2017 London event from Friday 25 November via www.picturehouses.com/sundance. The Festival Pass guarantees access to ten festival films/special events plus priority booking for additional events, access to the Picturehouse Central Members' Bar, and food and drink discounts. The VIP Pass gives access to EVERY film and special event at the festival, plus all parties, a Picturehouse Central membership, a goodie bag and more. Individual tickets will go on sale to the public next Spring following the full London programme announcement. Full information is included below.
The Sundance Film Festival: London took place at Picturehouse Central for the first time in June 2016 and hosted the UK and International premieres of 11 features, including Wiener-Dog, The Greasy Strangler, Tallulah, Morris from America, and Weiner alongside short films, panel discussions and special events. Filmmakers and guests attending the festival included: James Schamus; Todd Solondz; Effie Brown; Christopher McQuarrie; Gina Rodriguez. Previous editions of the festival since 2012 have welcomed filmmakers, artists and supporters including HRH The Prince of Wales, Michael Fassbender, Gemma Arterton, Ryan Reynolds, Lake Bell, Jimmy Carr, the Eagles, Peaches, David Cross, Rose McGowan, Minnie Driver and Rufus Wainwright.
The 2017 Sundance Film Festival line-up will be announced soon. The 2017 London program will be announced next Spring.

Picturehouse Cinemas
Formed in 1989 to challenge the multiplex model, Picturehouse Cinemas own and operate 23 cinemas and programme a further 40 venues across the UK.
Picturehouse Central opened in June 2015 after extensive redevelopment of the former Cineworld in the Trocadero centre. With a brand new entrance on the corner of Shaftesbury Avenue and Great Windmill Street, Picturehouse's new West End flagship has seven screens with more than 1,000 seats, a ground-floor caf , a first-floor restaurant and a double-height Members' bar on the second and third floors that includes a roof terrace with stunning views over London.
With Dolby Atmos sound, 35mm, 70mm and 4k projection, Picturehouse Central is the best place to watch a huge variety of films, ranging from quality blockbusters to independent, classic, foreign-language and art-house films.
