Soliton Systems Soliton sign root6 as first UK reseller

After recently announcing its new EMEA office in Amsterdam, Soliton Systems, an established Japanese manufacturer of live encoding and video streaming over mobile 3G/4G networks, announces its first reseller for the UK broadcast market.

Established for more than 16 years,root6 is a well-respected supplier of technology to the UK broadcast and postproduction market. With its main office in Soho and an office in Scotland, it provides a range of services from equipment supply through systems integration to technical support and training. A prestigious list of customers includes the BBC, ITV, BT Sport, Endemol, IMG and Chelsea and Arsenal football clubs.

Soliton Systems manufactures the Smart-telecaster ZAO product, a mobile HEVC transmitter for streaming live broadcasts direct from cameras over multiple traditional mobile 3G or 4G networks. Ideal for news and sports environments, the ZAO product was the first global mobile H.265 hardware-based transmitter that can be mounted on the camera, or reside in a backpack.
