Other Voices returns to RT this Spring with performances from Dermot Kennedy, Amble, Florence Road and more
Thursday 26 February,11pm, RT 2 and RT Player
Other Voices, Ireland's landmark music series, returns on Thursday 26 February on RT 2 and RT Player at 11.00pm with its 24th series a six-part celebration of exceptional music from Ireland and beyond. Filmed in Dingle and West Wales, the new season features intimate performances, exclusive interviews and standout moments from some of the most exciting Irish and international artists.
Annie MacManus, Huw Stephens and MayKay return as hosts of the show guiding viewers through performances from artists including Dermot Kennedy, Amble, Dry Cleaning and shame. The series shines a light on Ireland's emerging talent through the Irish Music Rights Organisation (IMRO) Other Room and also highlights Other Voices' recent visit to West Wales, featuring Ye Vagabonds, KhakiKid, R IS and more.
The first episode of the series showcases folk trio Amble's incredible year as their album Reverie became Ireland's most-streamed album of 2025. It also features appearances from Florence Road, Dove Ellis and MOIO. Former President of Ireland Michael D. Higgins makes a special appearance alongside Myles O'Reilly to celebrate the tradition of the spoken word.
Across the series, viewers will see performances from shame, Jessy Blakemore, Sorcha Richardson, CHALK, Miles Kane, Travy, The Scratch and Dry Cleaning. The IMRO Other Room features AnnieDog, Se n McKeon, MOIO and Irish-American folk duo DUG.
The final episode of the series is devoted to the return of one of Ireland's most resonant international voices, singer-songwriter Dermot Kennedy. Back in The Church for the third time and ahead of two career-defining Aviva Stadium dates, he shares songs from his brand-new album The Weight Of The Woods. Dermot sits down with Annie Mac to reflect on the making of the record, his instinct for creating closeness on the world's biggest stages and the enduring pull that keeps bringing him back to Dingle.
Justin Healy, Executive Producer, RT , said: It's a pleasure to share a new season of Other Voices with viewers. The Church of St James and the town of Dingle continue to provide a unique backdrop for artists from Ireland and beyond, and this year's series reflects the strength and range of music being made today. Each visit to Dingle brings something new, whether it's a debut performance or the return of an artist who has grown since their last appearance. That is central to what makes Other Voices so distinctive, and we're glad to bring that experience to audiences once again.
Philip King, Founder of Other Voices, said: We feel very privileged at Other Voices to continue to capture the continuing stream of remarkable new and diverse Irish music from Dove Ellis to Amble, from MOIO to Se n McKeon and from Florence Road to The Scratch. This year Dermot Kennedy came home to Dingle as did Sorcha Richardson. Michael D Higgins celebrated the power of the spoken word and Belfast's CHALK took the road West and for sure the Church of St James is reverberating with their power and passion. This music offers hope for the future and gives us the energy to keep on keeping on.
Host MayKay added: There just is not another show on TV, anywhere, like it. Every year feels like the first year again! I always think I'll get used to it to the excitement, the nerves, the anticipation. But that's the beauty of it. When you have brand new acts, or acts that you've seen grow over the years, or a former President of Ireland doing spoken word, in the most beautiful town on earth, how could you ever get used to it. Dove Ellis and The Scratch are my top two this year, but really, it was wall to wall brilliance and joy all round, as usual.
Victor Finn, CEO of the Irish Music Rights Organisation (IMRO) said From its beginnings in Dingle, Other Voices has captured something unique about Irish music; its intimacy, its ambition and its global reach. IMRO has supported the series from the outset and we are proud to see how it continues to evolve while all the time staying true to its roots. Supporting initiatives like this is central to IMRO's role in championing music creators who shape Ireland's cultural voice.
Other Voices begins Thursday 26 February at 11pm on RT 2, with all episodes available worldwide on RT Player.
