Mzansi Magic's viewers are demanding the channel to cancel their latest Monday night drama series, Grootboom and Sons.

The show stars SAFTA (South African Film and Television Award) winner, Bongile Mantsai, who plays the role of Mbulelo, Gomora's Sibulele Gcilitshana as Vuyo, The Queen's Zandile Msutwana as Funeka, Rhythm City's Mbasa Msongelo as Zola, and Isidingo's Luzuko Nkqetho as Mkhokeli aka MK.

THE STORYLINE IS ALL OVER' Viewers complained to Mzansi Magic on Twitter this past Monday (15 November) about the storyline, the narrator who speaks broken Xhosa, and the inconsistencies in the script.

They've been tuning in to the show every Monday because the show has a great cast and hoping that the storyline would improve, but state that it's gotten worse.

The story is centred around a family's funeral parlour that gets inherited by the younger sibling, Vuyo, after their father's death.

The younger sibling is given the business because she's more responsible than the older sibling, Funeka, whose life is all about having fun.

Actress Zandile Msutwana, who plays the role of Funeka, described her character as vain, devious, manipulative, selfish, and stylish.

A viewer, Vanessa Moutjane, said she'd rather watch cartoons at 8 pm every Monday than watch the show.
