Sky News Appoints Lewis Goodall as Political Correspondent

Lewis Goodall is to join the Sky News political unit as Political Correspondent. He joins from Newsnight where he has spent three years reporting on and producing some of the major political stories of the day.

As well as covering politics Lewis has reported on the Paris terrorist attacks, Young UKIP and the housing crisis. He has also presented historical films for the BBC on The Easter Rising, Joseph Chamberlain and the legacy of the 1945 General Election. Lewis has also secured political interviews with some of the most influential politicians of our time including Roy Hattersley, Peter Mandelson, Margaret Beckett, Shirley Williams, Tessa Jowell and Denis Healey.

Before joining the BBC, Lewis worked for the Institute of Public Policy Research and at ITV (where in his biggest challenge to date, he wrote questions for University Challenge). Following his graduation from St John's College, Oxford in 2010 with a degree in History and Politics, Lewis also worked in the United States Congress. He is currently writing a book on the history of the Labour party and the future of the left to be published by William Collins in late 2017.
