st Cine Gear Expo Starts June at Paramount Studios

Acclaimed entertainment industry event Cine Gear Expo returns to the landmark Paramount Studios on June 2-4, 2016 to bring together professional artists and technicians to share the latest art and craft of the motion picture industry at this world-renowned exhibition and seminar series.

Now in its 21st year, attendees from far and near convene to keep abreast of new technology and techniques, view special screenings, attend the film competition and discuss the latest industry news as they stroll through the stages and streets of America's oldest running studio.

The action starts the evening of June 2 with a special tribute to legendary cinematographer and Cine Gear friend, Vilmos Zsigmond ASC, HSC, 1930-2016. Also that afternoon guests can view the Film Competition Finalist Screenings of Student Shorts, Independent Shorts, and Commercial/Music videos. The Cine Gear exhibitions are open Friday, June 3 from noon to 8pm and Saturday, June 4 from 10:00am to 5:00pm. Over 300 of the industry's most respected manufactures, rental houses, guilds, associations, trade journals and more will exhibit along the studio back lot and fill 3 soundstages. In a casual atmosphere, attendees can see the latest techniques and try tools from the likes of: Sony, Canon, Panasonic, ARRI, Schneider, Tiffen, Chapman Leonard, Panavision, MoVI, DJI, and hundreds more.

Visitors can also enjoy, dozens of complimentary seminars, panels, and screenings supported and organized by equipment manufacturers and associations, featuring revered audio engineers, post-production personnel, award-winning cinematographers, and other industry thought leaders.

Cine Gear also offers its renowned Master Class Seminars on Sunday June 5. This outstanding mix of educational opportunities includes Lighting, Camera and Camera Support Workshops. Tickets may be purchased online or at the Information Booth during show hours.

On Friday and Saturday evenings, the Cine Gear experience will offer complimentary, exclusive special screenings of A-list pre-release films presented by Sony including Woody Allen's Caf Society, and Mysteries of China followed by expert panel discussions with the filmmakers. Audiences will be treated to state of the art projection systems in the Paramount and the Sherry Lansing Theaters.

During the VIP Awards party on Friday evening June 3 Cine Gear Expo will present the Cinematography Lifetime Achievement Award and the Technical Lifetime Achievement Award to honor individuals and companies who advance the art and craft of filmmaking.
