The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences announced the 2026 Emmy Award nominations on Wednesday, July 8, and 27 Berklee alumni, including a faculty member at Berklee Valencia, are among the nominees. This year's Berklee nominees were recognized for their voice work, mixing, editing, and composition on some of the industry's most prominent programs and events.
Seven-time Emmy winner and 29-time nominee Pablo Mungu a PDM '98, a program director at Berklee Valencia, received two nominations in Outstanding Sound Mixing for a Variety Series or Special for his ProTools mixing on this year's Academy Awards and Super Bowl Halftime Show with Bad Bunny. Production mixer Thomas Holmes '02 was also nominated for the Super Bowl Halftime Show. Jim Murray BM '90, also a production mixer, was recognized in the same category for his work on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.
Trey Parker '88 was recognized in three categories for Comedy Central's long-running series South Park. He received nominations for Outstanding Animated Program, Outstanding Original Music and Lyrics, and Outstanding Character Voice-Over Performance.
Seven-time nominee Earl Martin BM '89 received two nominations in the categories of Outstanding Sound Mixing for a Comedy or Drama Series (Half-Hour) and Animation for his work as a re-recording mixer on Apple TV's Shrinking, and Outstanding Sound Mixing for a Nonfiction Program for HBO Max's Mel Brooks: The 99 Year Old Man!.
The 78th annual Primetime Emmy Awards will air on Monday, September 14, at 8 p.m. on NBC and Peacock.
