German KVM manufacturers G&D to present their KVM highlights for optimised IT infrastructures in control rooms
Every year, Integrated Systems Europe, the world's largest AV and systems integration show, presents the industry's latest technologies, solutions and strategies. German KVM manufacturers Guntermann & Drunck will exhibit their latest KVM solutions and demonstrate how to seamlessly integrate them into AV equipment at booth 10-R130, 11 - 14 February 2020. The systems ensure the best possible system homogeneity and interoperability in control room installations.
With the integration of a growing number of technologies, control rooms are becoming increasingly complex and multifunctional. However, the complexity associated with this demands a lot from operators, as they have to monitor several processes simultaneously and, at the same time, manage signals and workflows. To make the work of control room staff smarter and improve working conditions and ergonomics, G&D, as pioneers in the KVM industry, develop highly reliable KVM products that increase the security of the technology used and enhance ergonomics.
ControlCenter-IP for optimised IT infrastructures in control rooms
ControlCenter-IP for optimised IT infrastructures in control rooms
At ISE 2020, G&D will be showing both classic KVM systems and KVM-over-IP , so that every trade fair visitor will be able to experience relevant KVM installations for control rooms and see how their projects would benefit from the best of both worlds. Together with a series of IP extenders, the ControlCenter-IP forms a powerful matrix with which any connected operator station can be granted access to any remote computer. While the network infrastructure takes over the transport of KVM-over-IP using network switches and routers, the ControlCenter-IP contributes the logic. Transmission takes place compressed via CAT cabling or optical fibers via standard IP-based networks on layer 3, with a data transmission rate of up to 1 Gbit/s per line. Being able to use standard network components makes G&D's KVM-over-IP particularly interesting because existing IT installations can be scaled more easily, flexibly and cost-effectively. Almost all components are plug & play devices, making it even easier and more comfortable to install and operate the system.
Real 4K over IP
The ControlCenter-IP system provides pixel-perfect images and uses the in-house compression technology HDIP. This compression mode allows the loss-less transmission of video signals with a resolution of 4K at 60Hz. Thanks to the renowned compression mode, the systems require less bandwidth to transmit signals - but still provide crystal-clear images and latency-free operation. In combination with IP extender solutions for DP1.2a and DP1.1a as well as single link and dual link DVI, a wide range of video signals and resolutions up to real 4K over IP is supported.
Like all other G&D systems, the ControlCenter-IP can be easily integrated into typical AV equipment and offers best possible interoperability. A relevant installation and the integration of the ControlCenter-IP in a video wall application including media control will be demonstrated live at the G&D booth 10-R130 at ISE 2020.
Powerful 8K extender system - latency-free and uncompressed
The DP1.2-VisionXG system extends the access to computers over distances up to 10,000 m. As a powerful KVM extender, DP1.2-VisionXG extends high-resolution 4K and 8K video signals at 60 Hz - pixel-perfect, uncompressed, without any loss and latency-free. Transmission takes place over optical fibres. In this way, the system enables users to operate their computers remotely in real time.
RemoteAccess-CPU enables professional access for virtualization solutions
RemoteAccess-CPU - virtualisation and migration into the cloud
With their RemoteAccess-CPU scheduled for 2020, G&D are picking up on the increasing virtualisation of industrial automation and the migration of contents into the cloud since the device will enable the seamless integration of virtual machines into KVM installations. The new modules facilitate the design of hybrid systems containing real and virtual infrastructures that are extremely intuitive to use. After appropriate configuration, any number of virtual sources can be accessed directly via KVM matrix system. Operators can select the source they want to switch to from a standardised overview, regardless of whether the computer is available in the server room or in the cloud.
We continue to observe the trend that AV installations are becoming larger and more interconnected. This requires the systems to be even more reliable and powerful, explains Jochen Bauer, Head of Sales and Marketing. In addition to the already proven quality made in Germany, G&D have now added new features for even greater system stability and ease of use, such as the MatrixGuard. Within a matrix grid, the MatixGuard function ensures that if the database master fails, one of the matrix slaves takes over the role of the master and the system continues to run automatically without interrupting the work of the control room staff.
Interested trade fair visitors can experience this and much more at stand 10-R130 at ISE 2020 and get personal advice on their individual IT solution.
