Singers Showcase Presents Synchronicity-The Music of Sting and the Police Berklees Signature Series will close out its fall lineup with a tribute to Stings prolific career.

Berklee's Signature Series will close out its fall season with Singers Showcase: Synchronicity-The Music of Sting and the Police. This concert will celebrate Stings diverse and brilliantly crafted body of work as a solo artist and principal songwriter in the Police, one of the most distinctive, dynamic, and bestselling rock bands of all time. The concert will take place on Thursday, December 8, at 8:00 p.m. at the Berklee Performance Center.

Produced by Maureen McMullan '09, this genre-spanning concert will feature a powerful collective of singers, instrumentalists, arrangers, track producers, dancers, and visual designers. The performance will also showcase Israeli soprano saxophonist Lihi Haruvi and an innovative collaboration with students from Boston Conservatory at Berklees B.F.A. in commercial dance program, featuring the work of guest choreographer Raul Cruz, associate professor of dance.

It is an honor to present the music of Sting and the Police, beloved songs that embrace and explore a wide range of influences-cultural, social, and historical, said McMullan. Balancing accessibility with sophistication, Sting is a true musician's musician, and his influence technically and intellectually as an artist, modern poet, and activist has inspired this current generation of students to drive change with art. Featuring a cast of 88 students representing 28 countries, this dynamic show will pay tribute to the full breadth of his sonic output.

Sting has received 17 Grammy Awards and sold over 100 million records worldwide as a solo artist and member of the Police. A Songwriters Hall of Fame inductee, Sting is also a recipient of a Billboard Century Award, a Kennedy Center Honor, a Golden Globe, the Ivor Novello Award for Lifetime Achievement, the Polar Music Prize, an Emmy, and four Oscar nominations for Best Original Song. In 2003, he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of the Police, and in 2019, Every Breath You Take, a signature song for both the Police and Sting, received a BMI Award for becoming the most-played song in radio history. Berklee presented him with an honorary doctorate in 1994.

The Berklee Performance Center is located at 136 Massachusetts Avenue, Boston. Admission is $15-$20 in advance and $20-$25 day of show. Tickets are available online and at the Berklee box office.
