Local rap competition Rap Porkalam returns with Season 2 on Astro Vinmeen (Ch 202) from 4 June

Astro customers can look forward to the Season 2 premiere of local Tamil rap competition, Rap Porkalam at 9pm on 4 June via Astro Vinmeen (Ch 202). Themed #RapIsaiTodarum (rap music will continue), the show provides aspiring local rappers with opportunities to develop their talents and chase their dreams. Customers can also stream Rap Porkalam Season 2 anytime via Astro GO and On Demand.

Following the success of Rap Porkalam Season 1, fans can look forward to an exciting Season 2 that will feature local Tamil rap legend, Yogi B, alongside other established local rappers as they mentor and guide the 20 contestants on their journeys.

Rap Porkalam Season 2 is hosted by popular local rapper, Emcee Jesz, who will captivate viewers with his infectious energy. Customers will be introduced to the 20 contestants of Season 2 as they are mentored by local talents, Saint TFC and Sheezay. Over 13 weeks of the competition, contestants will be also guided by a panel of judges including local Tamil rap legend, Yogi B as well as popular local music composer and producer, Navin Navigator. Customers can also enjoy special appearances by celebrity guest judges every week. With years of experience and expertise to offer, these judges will push contestants to strive harder and challenge themselves to achieve higher performance standards during the course of the competition. In addition, local DJs, DJ Nexto and DJ Donz from Season 1 will make a return. Winners of the competition will take home RM20,000 for first place, RM10,000 for second place, RM2,000 for third and fourth places, and RM1,000 for fifth place.
