Zylight Distribute NanGuang & FXLION Products, Partners with Chimera for Active Diffusion

LOS ANGELES - Dec. 19, 2016 - Zylight, a leading manufacturer of innovative LED lighting solutions, has partnered with Chimera Lighting to manufacture and distribute Active Diffusion, Zylight's patented electronic diffusion technology. Zylight will also distribute NanGuang's compact LED Fresnels and soft panel lights, as well as FXLION's battery and charger product lines throughout North and South America. The company announced its new partnership and distribution deals during its Holiday Open House earlier this month in Los Angeles.

Developed by Zylight, Active Diffusion is an electronically controlled diffusion filter. Constructed with a flexible LCD screen and housed in a gel frame or coupled with a Chimera soft box, an Active Diffusion filter can produce different layers of diffusion. The filter is instantly adjusted with a handheld controller, so there is no need to change gels to create the desired diffusion effect. Active Diffusion works with any kind of cool light, including LED or fluorescent fixtures.

Under the licensing agreement, Zylight will produce the electronics and controllers, while Chimera will manufacture the Active Diffusion panels and provide exclusive worldwide distribution. Active Diffusion will be available next April at the 2017 NAB Show in Las Vegas, Nev.

NanGuang's F Series LED Fresnels provide compact, cost-effective lighting options. Ideal for portable lighting kits, F Series lights are available from 30w to 400w. Features include brightness control, barndoors, and carrying cases, plus variable color temperature, DMX, and silent cooling in some models. NanGuang also produces compact soft lights that will be kitted with the Fresnels as part of Zylight's offerings.

With FXLION, production professionals enjoy the benefits of Li-ion batteries over Ni-MH models, including longer life cycles and lighter weight. Its high-capacity battery choices include 14.8v and 26v bricks, the Skypower 48v modular battery system that allows brick batteries to be configured in multiple arrays, and custom power solutions.
