CATRICE MONSON NAMED SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT, DIVERSITY AND INCLUSION, CBS CORPORATION

Catrice Monson has been named Senior Vice President, Diversity and Inclusion for the CBS Corporation, it was announced today by Josie Thomas, Executive Vice President, Chief Diversity and Inclusion Officer for CBS Corporation, to whom she will report.

In her new role, Monson, who has worked in the CBS Labor Relations group since 2000, will work with Thomas to expand and enhance diversity initiatives which serve the CBS Corporation and its business units. Her responsibilities will include facilitating engagement internally and externally on company wide diversity and inclusion programs, spearheading the west coast based components of the Corporation's multi-cultural and women's employee resource groups, and overseeing and expanding west coast based CBS Corporation Diversity Council impact oriented activities and outreach.

Catrice is a highly effective and respected executive with wide ranging experience across many CBS business units, said Thomas. She's dedicated and passionate about the importance of diversity and inclusion and will be an invaluable asset in helping to advance the dialogue of diversity as we expand and enhance our focus across the corporation.

Monson's new corporate role, based in Los Angeles, will also complement the diversity initiatives led by Tiffany Smith-Anoa'i, Executive Vice President, Diversity, Inclusion & Communications for CBS Entertainment.

Most recently, Monson has served as Senior Vice President, Labor Relations, representing the CBS Television Network in negotiations with various entertainment unions and guilds as well as representing the labor relations department on committees and in meetings with the guilds and unions on issues related to diversity and increasing access. She has also worked with various divisions to develop and implement community outreach initiatives, such as the Upward Bound House school supply drive, the Schools on Wheels backpack drive and the Susan G. Komen Race. Additionally, Monson is an active member of the CBS Corporation Diversity Council and the CBS Corporation Volunteer Committee.

Prior to her work at CBS, Monson was an associate at Barbosa Garcia LLP where her area of practice was negotiations in education and labor law. She was responsible for researching Federal and State education and related laws, and collaborating and providing legal opinions and advisories to State education agencies and school district administrators. In this role, she also negotiated and drafted collective bargaining agreements between public entities and unions.

Monson's community service and charity work includes the CAM (Community Academics Mentoring) Foundation, where she serves as Executive Director and the Archer School for Girls, where she serves on the Board of Trustees.

Monson graduated from the UCLA School of Law in 1997, where she was awarded with the Baker & Mackenzie Scholarship. While at UCLA, she served as the community service Co-Chair for the Black Law Students Association, was a member of the Women's Law Journal, the Public Interest Law Foundation and the Student Bar Association. She holds a BA in American Studies from Stanford University where she graduated with honors in 1994.

Monson resides in Los Angeles.
