Amidst a flurry of major announcements this week, ESPN shared that its much-discussed direct-to-consumer streaming service will launch on August 21.

The service simply called ESPN brings together, for the first time, the entire suite of ESPN linear channels and streaming products into one product. ESPN DTC will feature an unlimited plan for $29.99/month that includes all of ESPN's linear networks - ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, SEC Network, ACC Network, ESPNEWS, ESPN Deportes, as well as streaming-exclusive services like ESPN , ESPN3, SECN , and ACCNX. Any sports programming that airs on ABC will also be made available in this product.

In addition to more than 47,000 live events, the service will be home to ESPN originals, the 30 for 30 films, and studio programming like SportsCenter, Get Up, First Take, NFL Live, The Pat McAfee Show, Pardon the Interruption, College GameDay, NBA Today, Inside the NBA, The Rich Eisen Show, and more.

The DTC service will live in an enhanced re-release of the ESPN App. IT is expected to include features like multiview, state overlays, betting and fantasy sport customizations, and more.
