Story Highlights

It's no secret that esports is exploding in popularity, and one of the largest and most successful brands in the space so far has been Blizzard Entertainment and its popular Overwatch League.

This year alone, Blizzard struck a two-year, $90 million live-streaming-rights deal with Twitch, saw more than 10 million viewers tune in to the Overwatch League's opening week, and is in the final planning stages for its much hyped Finals at Barclays Center in Brooklyn this July.

On this episode of The SVG Podcast, SVG's Jason Dachman sits down with Jon Spector, director, strategy and team business operations, Overwatch League, to discuss all that goes into a production at Overwatch Arena, what the exciting prospects are in esports, and how video-production technology plays a role in it all.

The SVG Podcast is for the sports-video-production professional looking to keep up with the latest in sports-video-production operations and technology. The program features interviews with some of the biggest, most influential names in the sports-video business talking trends and topics that are making an impact on the industry.
